Batteríið Architects Ltd. is a consulting architectural firm with a broad range of experience in building design and planning. The practice, founded in 1988 by Jón Ólafur Ólafsson and Sigurður Einarsson, has grown gradually from its early days of small private commissions and architectural competitions, to its present level as a privately owned company.

In 2001 Sigurður Harðarson became partner after having collaborated with the firm since 1995.

The scope of work spans a broad register of architectural design, from town planning, public-, cultural- & office buildings, industrial buildings, sports facilities, post offices, banks, hotels, schools, kindergartens, district heating facilities and public and private housing, to detailed
planning and interior design as well as renovation/restoration of old buildings.

The company enjoys a wealth of design experience with highly trained and well educated employees that emphasize innovative ideas and creative design solutions. Batteríið Architects has always put forth its best effort and devoted itself to coming up with efficient, as well as technical
solutions, and has repeatedly shown by doing that its services have put the company and all its clients ahead of the game.

The company is rapidly growing and is now one of the largest architectural consultant firm in Iceland
